January - DTS updates!
DTS (Disciple Training School) - Who We Are
We have 34 students from different nationalities: Egypt, Netherlands, Germany, UK, US, South Africa, Sweden, Canada, Singapore, etc. It just moves me to see people of different nationalities lifting Him up with our native tongues.
This has been one of my favourite African praise songs; Jabulani Africa! Jabulani means to rejoice.
My team is filled with so many young lives wanting to live for Him, and being so hungry in seeking Him. We have a 17-year-old team member who has been faithfully praying for healing over his cancer-stricken mum for 6 months and was disappointed with God when he lost his mum 2 years ago. Yet he shared that he is here because he wants to find God despite going through things that he cannot understand. I heard stories of our local South Africans who lives on an empty fridge for years, but God provided their daily manna, and they came forward by faith to serve and learn here with nothing in their bank, to pursue God, wanting to find themselves through Him.
A fellow Singaporean had willingly stepped forth to support and be part of God’s plan of providence for a few of my South African brothers and sisters here. This beautiful exchange of giving and receiving, of love and sacrifice feels so much like the message of Christmas.
There's one testimony of a 23-Year-old South African brother, Imtiaz, (photo below) who was raised in a Muslim Family. He came to know Jesus through street evangelism in 2020 and made a choice to follow Christ, and came here to do a DTS. I was inspired by the selfless dedication made where people would hear and obey God’s voice for themselves.

I must share if I would keep,
These blessings from above
Ceasing to give I cease to have,
Such is the law of love
- Bishop French.
Revelation 7:9, "After this, I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,"
Wearing white robes and waving palm branches, we stand before the throne and the lamb, ascribing glory to God and the Lamb, affirming our salvation, that we are now safe in God’s presence, and will never again hunger or thirst or be scorched by the sun. God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. What a beautiful sight to stand at eternity shore. Seeing my brothers and sisters from all over the world coming together to worship mimics a glimpse of heaven.
"Thank You for being so constant, for showing up here. You have a plan and destiny for each and single one of us, and their choice to be here is not a coincidence as well. Thank You for bringing us together and showing me a glimpse of how much you love the world."

What We Have Been Doing Here
DTS comprises the lecture phase and outreach phase. In the current lecture phrase, we are learning more about the Nature of God, Hearing His voice and the Cost of Discipleship (Click link if you would want to find out more on the lecture content). Our local outreach and worship at the beach, dwelling in His presence with the public.
We met a local African named Auntie Margaret (the lady with the white hat below) at the church. She is the face of hospitality. She invited us to her place, prepared a wholesome and splendid meal for us, treated us with warmth and kindness like we are her own. Despite not fulfilling her heart desires of having her own kids, she has displayed what it is to live a surrendered life, opening her house to those in need and being a spiritual parent to other children. Her home and her being are the alabaster jar that’s freely broken for Him. Truly one is willing to break what’s precious for something that they have seen is of greater worth and value.
In DTS, all students are required to do work duty, and I was tasked to serve in the breakfast club that involves preparing food and tables for the team. God certainly must have a sense of humour. There was an incident where I accidentally tore a hairnet, and while putting it on, my hair bun went right through the hole in the hair net. It was so precise! This got the rest laughing, singing out loud how God can turn bad things around for our good. Certainly, what was deemed broken or damaged in the eyes of the world, God can use it and turn it for good.
In our second week here, some of my team members and I were diagnosed with COVID-19. A few of us were discouraged and flustered, yet we remained forward-looking, seizing this opportunity to play less, and dwell more.
Thank you to all my fellow brothers and sisters, back at home, for praying for us and with us. I am always encouraged knowing that every single one of you got our back, partnering with me in His kingdom, serving the One who is so worthy of our lives. I sincerely thank you for your support, and for remembering us, despite being thousands of miles away.
2. Pray for a greater hunger and open hearts among our team as God is doing His work in this DTS; deeper intimacy with Him more than doing the tasks.
3. Pray for our general health as there have been people getting Covid and stomach flu.
4. We have a few teammates that applied for this DTS in obedience and stepped out in faith despite them barely making ends meet. One of them is Imtiaz and I felt led to share his story above. If you feel prompted to support him in prayer or in monetary terms, feel free to let me know! I am sure your support in any form or amount will go a long way for our fellow brother-in-Christ.

How you could co-partner with us in His Kingdom!
1. Our outreach location is out! Our team is split into 3 groups, Lebanon, Malawi (South Africa), and Turkey. I will be going to Lebanon. Pray for our hearts as we do preparation and intercession for these nations, and to rise up more missionaries to the unreached people group.2.
